Me

This was painted for my husband Ian. He mentioned a while back that he'd like a painting of me. I may have idealized my self a bit, but that's the artists prerogative!

Love you Ian!

Evan

I painted this Watercolor for Ryan and Jennifer (Brother and Sister in law) for Christmas. It's of their son Evan. I'm so glad they love it!
I love it too!
That boy is gorgeous.

Bridal Shower

I'm excited about my cupcake venture. I made these menu's for Samantha Noble's Bridal Shower. I hear she's having more of them. Lucky girl!
I am pleased with the way the menu came out. I used Illustrator and Photoshop. I also made 120 cupcakes and everyone seemed to enjoy them. Baking is an art as well it seems. I put together these Cupcake bouquets. It was my first time doing it and I know they'll look better next time, but I was happy considering it was my first try.
Viva la pasiĆ³n! Viva la Amor!

Completed Barn #1

This image isn't the best. The actual painting is more vibrant, but for some reason my camera was only taking dull shots. This is the first of four paintings.

Kitchen Bridal Shower Invite Art

Mixers

Made these in Illustrator. I love my mixer so I thought I'd make a pretty picture of her. :)

She's the red one. The other was used in the Kitchen Bridal Shower invites I did for Samantha Noble. (Ian's cousin...mine too!) I hope she likes it!

Commission for family...again!

This is the first of three paintings I'm doing for my in-laws. This is only a progress picture. It should be completed by the end of the week. Then I can start number 2!
It's about 70% complete. I'm happy with it so far though. I hope they love it!

Cupcake logo

I'm working on a logo for my future (here's hoping) Cupcake business. It's far from done, but I wanted to post the progress anyway. I got inspired working on the coffee logo and decided to do it in Illustrator as well. Fun program.
You can't see it yet, but she's holding a tray of cupcakes. She may also have a cupcake hat.

They haven't critiqued it yet, but here is the progress for now. It was done in Illustrator. I haven't worked in this program in a long time. I rather enjoyed it. Enjoy!

and the winner is....

One I didn't even post! I added to the watch and gave them three more options and they chose this one. So hopefully after it is shown to the committee, it will be approved and printed out on the invitations/etc. So until further notice, the new Sierra View District Hospital Logo for their Gala in September (with the theme: A Moment in Time) is....

Childlike Whimsy

These are pieces from my "Children's Story" Portfolio. The piece on the far left isn't completed, but It'll be exciting once it is. It's something I've been painting on and off for a long time. I'll get more into this later. Until then, Enjoy!

Painting for fun

Greetings Art Lovers!
Here is a piece I just completed. I've been doing a lot of work for other people and I had a hankering for painting something for myself. Don't get me wrong. I enjoy whatever I'm working on at the time and the end result is always worth it, but it's nice to sometimes paint something that speaks to me personally ya know?
I plan on doing more of that in the near future. I want to fill my home with art.
The cool thing about this is that it was done for fun and it's serving a purpose in getting my name out there. This particular piece will be displayed in a gallery in San Francisco next week. Perhaps it will sell and perhaps it won't. If it does, great! If not, that's ok too. I can always hang it on my wall. I'm just glad Kim asked me to display anything at all.
For more info on that Gallery go to www.moderneden.com
I wish I could go to the opening! I bet it's going to be great. Major Props to Kim and Brad for all they've done. That's all for now. Time to go think of another piece to start.
And Remember, the Force will be with you...always.

Comission progress!

This is another commission that's being done for extended family. I just wanted to post my progress. It's coming along nicely. It's Acrylic on Canvas board. I combined two old photographs together so it would look like both people were in the same place. They are husband and wife. I'm excited about finishing this one. I can't wait to see how it's going to look. Enjoy!

More Art

Here are some pieces from my "Feminine Portfolio." That's what I call it for now because I have a number of pieces that sort of fall into this category. Enjoy!

Some Art

I just wanted to post some art for you to see. It's about time I do so! I used different techniques and styles, but I tried to capture each person in a certain way and I feel I was successful. The "Mulder" painting is done in Watercolor. The horse painting was a Commissioned piece. It's fairly large (40by60in) and was the first time I'd worked in Acrylic on such a large scale. The man with the Rifle was also a commission and is also Acrylic on Canvas.
I'm ready for lots more work. That's where you (the reader) come in. I'm always eager to create something for someone that they can cherish forever.
